UNT Dallas College of Law

The building in which the UNT Dallas College of Law is located started as the Titche-Goettinger department store. Located at the corner of Main and Harwood and facing the Main Street Garden Park, the building is part of the Harwood Historic District in downtown and also is a designated part of the larger Downtown Dallas Historic District. At the end of the 19th century, Harwood Street marked the eastern outskirts of Dallas, still a frontier town. After the turn of the century, the area became a retail and government center, as the City of Dallas relocated its City Hall to the new Municipal Building, immediately to the south and east of the Titche-Goettinger building.
