Contributions to the NITA Foundation work to promote justice through various training and educational programs, both in this country and abroad, by supporting a number of public service programs as well as providing scholarships. The programs focus on the five areas in which NITA has been active over the last decade:legal services, death penalty, tribal justice, child advocacy, and domestic violence. NITA also partners with other organizations to serve specific populations within and around the United States.
The NITA Foundation works to ensure that all of the NITA programs are accessible to those working at non-profit organizations and legal aid offices. Often attorneys engage in public interest are working with the most vulnerable of populations - children, the elderly, and the disabled.
Since its inception in 2003, the NITA Foundation has disbursed more than $1.8 million in scholarship assistance and public service program support. As NITA has grown in prestige and scope, NITA and the NITA Foundation have undertaken the responsibility of bringing legal advocacy training to as many public service lawyers as possible, especially those who cannot afford it.
100% of all gifts donated to the NITA Foundation directly support NITA program services - either the scholarship program or the public service programs - without any deduction for administrative or fund raising expenses.

General Scholarship Fund
This fund is for anyone – alumni, faculty, supporters – to donate in support of scholarships for tuition to NITA programs.
Public Service Lawyer Travel Fund
This fund provides travel cost assistance to lawyers working in the public service sector and who cannot afford to pay those costs out of pocket and/or whose employers lack such funds.
