The ACEDS group is a global membership association committed to promoting and verifying eDiscovery skills and competence for organizations and individuals through training and certification.

The training included topics from Bales's book, Trial Presentation Companion: A Step-by-Step Guide to Presenting Electronic Evidence in The Courtroom which is available on our website. Trial Presentation Companion is NITA's first-ever comprehensive "how-to" manual on running electronic evidence in the courtroom. This guide will help you and your firm expand your comfort zone in working with all the bits and pieces that are increasingly essential when presenting electronic evidence in court in the modern era.

Shannon Lex Bales is a Managing Director at FTI Consulting and is based in Los Angeles. As a member of the Trial Services group in the Forensic & Litigation Consulting segment, he is responsible for building a technical environment for legal teams to present their case in a way that maximizes decision-maker understanding and minimizes downtime and security risk.
