Talk to anyone who has completed the program and they will tell you how it transformed their practice and played a significant role in their becoming a successful lawyer. Participants come to beautiful Colorado from all over the country to serve together as counsel for two complete jury trials. Networking with your fellow participants can lead to life-long professional relationships and numerous case referrals.
This year the program is being directed by MIchael Johnson of Little Rock, AR. He, along with the program’s Team Leaders, will be assembling a faculty from NITA’s highest ranks. Immediately following your countless performances during the program this expert faculty provides feedback to ensure performances are improved and confidence is gained.
During the two weeks you will practice, then perfect, your skills in direct/cross examinations, objections, opening statements/closing arguments, laying foundations, motion arguments, jury selection and dealing with both economic and technical expert witnesses. You can also expect to attend special presentations by noted authors and communications experts.
The program-and its faculty-demand a lot from the participants. It is intensive yet fast paced and provides literally years of trial experience. So, in order to retain what you learn and recharge yourself for the second week, the majority of the weekend (July 16-18) is free of sessions. The NITA Education Center is 20 Minutes from downtown Denver, 10 Minutes from Boulder and less than an hour from Rocky Mountain National Park. Use that time to explore everything Colorado has to offer.
It is estimated that this program will provide 87 CLE Credits and qualifies as one credit toward the NITA Advocate Designation.
